Factors To Consider
In deciding whether to sell a company to our firm, shareholders and their advisors often consider some or all of the following parameters:
- Certainty of Close – Does the prospective purchaser have a proven track record of closing deals on schedule and according to the original terms proposed? Do they have a high probability of submitting final proposals after they complete due diligence?
- Valuation – Have they consistently paid competitive prices?
- Speed – Are they able to respond quickly, conduct due diligence in a streamlined manner and commit decisively without a prolonged approval process?
- Fit with Management – Do the personalities, cultures and growth plans match? Are the stock options and other forms of compensation favorable?
With Brockway Moran & Partners, sellers can check each of these boxes.
We, and our portfolio companies, are known for competitive valuations and for doing what we say we’ll do, when we say we’ll do it. These facts have earned our portfolio companies and our firm a reputation for being a preferred purchaser and a sound partner over our approximate 100 acquisitions completed. We approach each transaction as an opportunity to establish new relationships, not as an opportunity to get the best of a situation. This philosophy may sacrifice a little in the short-term, but in the end, it has led to deals closing on time and as promised, while creating relationships that span the years.Print
